2. Prairie Lily Riverboat
A pivotal member of the Saskatoon landscape, the Prairie Lily is a true Saskatoon icon. Saskatoon’s very own riverboat, the Prairie Lily offers sightseeing cruises, dinners on the boat, brunch cruises, and Saskatooning Sundays – which host guests on Sundays that share a passion for all things Saskatoon!
3. Saskatoon Berry U-Pick
A favourite pastime of many Saskatonian’s is Saskatoon Berry picking at The Berry Barn, or from the wild Saskatoon Berry bushes scattered across the province. If you’re looking for a pit stop to bring your bucket and fill up with delicious berries, consider heading south of the city by 20 minutes to the historic The Berry Barn.
4. Black Fox Farm & Distillery
Berries aren’t the only thing Saskatonian’s like to U-Pick in the summertime. Consider Black Fox Farm & Distillery on your summer bucket list for flower picking (think dahlias, gladiolas etc.) and then once you’re done, stop in at their distillery for a cool gin cocktail. Maybe you’ll even take home a bottle of gin with you!
5. Rock the River

Are you a Canadian classic rock fan? Look no further. Located at the Delta Bessborough Gardens in downtown Saskatoon, you’ll be gifted with performances by some true legends, such as Burton Cummings, Nazareth, Teenage Head, and Kim Mitchell
6. YXE Beer Wars Festival
August 26 – 27, 2022
With over 25 craft beer, wine, and spirit vendors from across Saskatchewan and Alberta, this festival offers attendees the ability to sip, savour, and sample some of the prairie favourites. Pro tip: grab a shady spot to sit and enjoy your pint and grab a snack on the way from local food vendors!
7. Paddle Board on the River
Don’t own a paddle board? No worries – Escape Sports has got you covered with paddle board rentals, life jacket rentals, and all the gear you might need to explore the South Saskatchewan River. A great way to adventure on a hot summer day!
8. Homestead Ice Cream
An absolute iconic monument in Saskatoon’s history (open since 1978!) that offers small-batch ice cream treats – think dill pickle ice cream, revenge of the nerd’s ice cream, or coconut dip cheesecake! A perfect addition to a hot day.

A Labour Day classic tradition for many families in Saskatoon. This spectacular fireworks festival is located at River Landing and Rotary Park in downtown Saskatoon and offers attendees a choreographed fireworks performance with music in tow. A must-see event.
