The FIA Girls On Track initiative is a great example of what can be done to increase participation of women in motorsport. I am proud that Formula E has been supporting this project since its inception and will continue to do so in the future.
– Alejandro Agag, Founder & Chairman of Formula E
What started out as a shared hope and a dream between Formula E Founder, Alejandro Agag, and FIA President, Jean Todt, jotted on the back of a napkin, has since developed into one of the fastest growing motorsport series in the world.
Its mission was for their races to be seen through the streets of some of the most iconic cities across the globe – with a roster filled with some of the greatest drivers and teams around. Formula E had a focus on showing consumers what sustainable mobility was capable of, and that driving electric vehicles would help make our planet a better, and cleaner future.
Now, with 12 teams and 24 drivers on their roster, the Formula E Championship has become a destination for the world’s best motorsport teams and racing talent.
EQUALITY & INCLUSION
Formula E is committed to promoting equality and inclusion across the sport. Formula E has a focus on wanting everyone to feel welcome and be able to participate in motorsport, regardless of their background or identity.
The organization has several initiatives in place to help achieve this, such as the FIA Girls On Track program which encourages more young women to get involved in karting. Their work with the global not-for-profit organization Right To Play also uses motorsport to engage children from disadvantaged backgrounds and teach them important life skills.
Formula E is also a founding member of the Electric Mobility Foundation, which is working to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles around the world. This will help create a cleaner, more sustainable future for everyone.
Formula E is leading the charge towards a more sustainable future for motorsport. They are the first fully electric international racing series and are using their platform to showcase the potential of electric vehicle s to the world.
Formula E is working hard to minimize the environmental impact, both on and off the track. For example, they only use recycled or recyclable materials for their race paddock structures. They also offset their carbon emissions by investing in renewable energy projects around the world.
Formula E wants to inspire others to take action on climate change and show that it is possible to enjoy motorsport while also protecting the environment.
Formula E is supported by a number of organizations and initiatives that share their vision for a more sustainable future.
The FIA Sustainable Mobility Commission works to promote sustainable mobility solutions around the world, and Formula E is an active member. They are also partners with the United Nations Environment Programme and have been recognized as a Climate Neutral Organisation by the UN.
They are constantly striving to improve their sustainability credentials and are always looking for new ways to reduce their impact on the environment. They encourage others to join them on their journey, and together they can make motorsport more sustainable for future generations.
